I know it’s been ages since I posted but I do have a very good reason. I have been very ill! On 21st March, I woke up with pain and I took some painkillers and went back to bed, I spent the whole day like that, up and down, until about 9.00pm, and I asked Pete to take me to the hospital as I couldn’t stand it any longer.

I remember waiting in A & E but then after that is just a blur!

Apparently my gall bladder burst and when they operated they nipped my bowel, so all the poison went into my stomach. They had to keep taking me to theatre to cut the poisoned parts of my stomach away. I was cut from my left side, all the way around to my right back and left open and kept unconscious. In the end, they told Pete if the last op didn’t work there was nothing more they  could do as I would literally fall in half. In all, I had 14 major operations.

When I finally woke up 6 weeks later, I was stunned to realise that my muscles hadcompletely wasted away, and I couldn’t even stand, let alone walk. I still had a great gaping hole in either side as well. and a hole in my neck where I had a tracheotomy. I moved to a ward and then spent 3 weeks learning to stand and walk with a frame. Afterv 4 weeks, they allowed me to come home, but it’s going to be a long slow process for me.

The good thing is I have been able to pick up my designing again. I have added a couple of new things to my store, and I have picked out over 30 products that I will be retiring at the end of July! You can get these products at a massive 50 and 60% off from my NDISB store.

I have some other good news too, I have been accepted as a designer at E-scape & Scrap! This was in the process before I took ill and Julie has been very patient and gracious waitimg for me to be well enough to get started. Of course I will be taking things easy for some time yet but it still feels good to be doing something useful again. Here are the new products added this week:

and I have not one, but 2 freebies for you today. The easter freebie below is also still available!

Firstly, have you seen this?

Click the image to visit the Digital Scrapbook Artisan Guild Forum to find out more and enter this exciting competition.

Next, I am holding a CT call but it;s a little different.

Here are the details

If you click the image it should open up to a larger size but just in case you can’t read it, here are the details

I’m looking initially for just one person who can support me in my designing work.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person. Ideally you will not be on any other CT’s but If you are, you must be able to devote sufficient time to my products also.

I am looking for a minimum of 1 layouts per kit or other product and they must
be posted to at least 3 online galleries. Three of which must be NDISB, DST and my own gallery.

In addition, I require you to mention my products in ISO threads at DST and any other
places you can.  I need you to help me with marketing so I can concentrate on my designing.

I am happy to let my Creative Team be as Creative as they wish, so if you want to make Quick Pages with    my designs or Mini Albums that is fine
and I will be happy to add them to the store with a 20% cut of the sales to you.
Your reward for this will be to receive all of my products free of charge.
If you prove to be the ‘right’ person for the job, after a trial period, the position will attract a
cash payment, made direct to your Paypal account.

I want someone who believes in me and my work and who is willing to help me succeed.
I don’t ask much, but I give back tenfold what I get.
So, if you are interested in applying here is what I need from you:

1. A short bio with your name, email, and a little bit about yourself,,,,
Are you married, do you have children,  pets? Tell me what inspires you, what you love,
what you hate and what you feel really passionate about.
2. Links to at least 3 online galleries.
3. A link to YOUR own personal favourite layout and tell me why it is your favourite.
4. Tell me what you like in a kit, separate papers and elements, ribbons, bows, flowers, colours?
Send this info to me at b@scrapdragondesigns.co.uk
I will contact you immediately to confirm receipt of your application and you can expect a decision within a week or so.

And finally for now, here is your freebie. Click here to download

Hope you enjoy, thanks for reading

I don’t know where this year has gone! Well, I do, I’ve been tied up with the ADSR until now. Both participating and checking! It’s been loads of fun, and I’ve had the pleasure of checking some awesome layouts and met some super nice people. I even made a few new friends!

Here are a few of my layouts for the race:

Anyway, I haven’t had much time to design let alone prepare a freebie for you, but I will be back later in the week with a treat for you. In the meantime, the blog train kit and the freebie below are still available if you haven’t gotten them yet!

Thanks for visiting, B x

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I decided to give this Project 365 a go. And forgot to take my first pic until 8.30 tonight, lol. Good start! I have a lot of stuff to do in the first few weeks of this year but I am going to try at least to take my pic and make notes. Then maybe if I can’t post it every day, I can at least catch up. Another blog? Hmm, well considering it takes me forever to keep this one updated, I figured just another page would suffice. Check the page links to find my Project 365 page and if you are doing the project and want to swap links, leave me a comment.

Oh wow,, have you seen this? This fabulous kit was created by a bunch of designers at DST as our Christmas gift to you. Hit the blog train and collect the parts to this fab kit. I think most of the links are up now but if not, please be patient, remember that we are on different time zones and it’s difficult to post all at once, lol

Well I do have a good excuse! Pete and I decided to have the floors done,, we wanted to get rid of all the carpets. But of course I wanted to decorate all through as we did it. We got the living room done but the bedrooms will now have to wait until after the New Year. It’s way too much to do all in one go. The living room was hard as we wallpapered, and we also treated ourselves to a new suite. It’s huge and a lot of our furniture and ornaments don’t fit in any more. But I love it all the same. I made the covers for the pouffee’s (don’t think I spelt that right!). The pics on the wall are actually jigsaws.

What do you think?

The strange looking pic on the wall in this one is actually a light box!

My sister made it with a wood frame, paper lining, and a set of lights taped inside.

Then covered with sheer pleated fabric. It looks fabulous at night!

Anyway at least the living room looks lovely. I am doing Christmas at mine this year so it will be nice for Mum & Dad to relax. They have had a leak in their house and it’s taking ages to get everything sorted. Mum just didn’t feel like even trimming up, so I said they should come to mine.

I added a couple of new templates to the store

I’m busy working on a collab with Sassy, one of the new designers at NDISB. I’ve known Sassy for ages, and we have another collab planned for next year too. And I am also working on my part of a Blog Train freebie for Christmas, watch for more news of this soon.

What esle has happened? Well my baby was sick again and we went back to the vet, this time he had bloods done and thankfully they all came back clear. So we are no wiser as to what the problem is, but he seems fine now, and I hope he stays that way!

Anyway, I am so pleased with my living room that I used the colours to create a mini kit as my December Gift to you. But I couldn’t stop there, I also created a set of quick pages from the kit. Feel free to grab those as well. Click HERE to go to the download page to grab them.

That’s it for now, thanks for reading and come back soon!

I added my latest kit to the store, a celebration of children’s nursery rhymes. !0 patterned papers, 5 solid papers and 49 elements, available seperately, or if you get the full kit, you get the solids completely free!

You can get ‘And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon’ here

I’ve been incredibly busy this last couple of weeks as I am decorating and it’s been NDISB’s birthday, but come back soon for news of an addon and a free sampler

Thanks for looking

Check this out! It’s our birthday over at NDISB and we are turning 3! We are having a week long celebration with lots of fun and games. Be sure to come and join us. During the week you will be able to collect the parts of the wonderful kit which I used to make this ad,,,

You’d be a fool to miss it, and don’t forget ADSR is just around the corner, so why not stick around and do some challenges to get some practice in?

See you there!
