So, what else has been happening? Well, not a great deal. It’s so heavy with snow outside that I have barely been out. I have some great snow boots but as my mobility is still not great, I am so frightened of falling, I daren’t risk it. I did however manage to get this neat photo the other afternoon. I thought the light was pretty amazing! You can click it if you’d like to see a bigger version.

Oh, and so far, I have managed to stay up to date with my Project 365, check the page to see how I’m doing. link is on the left or at the top.

I’m sorry it’s been so long since I last posted. I went to visit my sister to recuperate and get plenty of R & R which I did, but then of course when I got back Christmas was upon us and I had last minute shopping and preparation to do, and now I am frantically trying to catch up with my designing and other committments.

I’m not well either, my blood sugars are way high and my tummy is not healing well. I’m visiting the nurse every week for dressing changes but it’s worrying me. I’m afraid it’s turning into an ulcer and they take an awful long time to heal.

NDISB is coming back to life! The forums and gallery are back and I am starting to get my products back in the store. I finished my latest kit this week, a little late for Christmas but never mind. It’s callled Christmas Dreams

I made a Quick Page set to match it and also a free sampler.

I have changed the way I am displaying my freebies, as I often leave them up for a long time, and they are scattered through several posts, I thought it made more sense to have them all in one place. So you can reach the Downloads page from a new link on the left or from my Home page, also via a link on the left hand side. There is a link to email me and a link back to my blog if you wish to comment. I really love to hear from you so don’t be afraid to contact me. I will of course still be offering the odd freebie through all of my stores, so don’t forget to check often to be sure you don’t miss out.

Hi all

I just finished up some new goodies and I made a few new freebies for you too.

Firstly, I wanted to show you the photo of Simba’s grave. I think it looks lovely and every day I go and sit by him for a few minutes and tell him I love him. My Dad made the cross for him and we had the little brass plaque engraved with his name and dates. I miss him terribly and often have dreams about him. Of course in my dreams he is always alive and well and causing havoc in his usual way! I was very, very blessed to be his ‘Mummy’.

I’m continuing to improve healthwise but I do get extremely tired. I go to bed early but don’t sleep too well as it’s difficult to get comfortable no matter how I lay. Once I’m asleep I’m fine but I find I sleep better sort of laid in the chair, propped up a bit. It will take a lot of time to get right and be a slow process. I’m already feeling the drag of being at home all the time and I would love to get a part-time job, but it’s just not possible yet. I wouldn’t be able to cope. Maybe next year.

Hi

Long time since my last update again but I have been so tired. The surgeon warned me I would get very tired but I wasn’t prepared for just how tired!

It’s nice taking things easy but I never seem to get anything done! And my attention span is non-existent right now!

As if getting better wasn’t enough to deal with, my beautiful furbaby Simba died suddenly last week. He took ill on Thursday afternoon but we gave him his medicine and by 9.00 pm he was eating and drinking again, then he suddenly got worse again and died in my arms at 1.00 am Friday morning, 28th January. He gave me 13 years of love and joy and I miss him so much it hurts like hell!

Rest in Peace my little one, and thank you for giving me such joy.

This picture was taken just a few weeks ago and see how healthy and young he looks?

So you can imagine the shock when he passed. He was my little baby, still like a kitten when he was well. But he had an ulcer on his bowel and had been very poorly over the last 2 years.

He would be well for weeks and then suddenly it would flare up but when I gave him his medicine, one or 2 doses always brought him round quickly and he was soon well again and eating like food was going out of fashion!

I still have Tasha, she is 15 now so I am worried about when I wil lose her. Although she still acts like a kitten!

She wanders around the house looking for Simba and she has done a couple of naughty things since he died. I know she is missing him too.

Anyways, I did manage to finish up a new kit. Land of the Morning Calm is a tribute to the beautiful country of Korea.

I know it’s been ages since I posted but I do have a very good reason. I have been very ill! On 21st March, I woke up with pain and I took some painkillers and went back to bed, I spent the whole day like that, up and down, until about 9.00pm, and I asked Pete to take me to the hospital as I couldn’t stand it any longer.

I remember waiting in A & E but then after that is just a blur!

Apparently my gall bladder burst and when they operated they nipped my bowel, so all the poison went into my stomach. They had to keep taking me to theatre to cut the poisoned parts of my stomach away. I was cut from my left side, all the way around to my right back and left open and kept unconscious. In the end, they told Pete if the last op didn’t work there was nothing more they  could do as I would literally fall in half. In all, I had 14 major operations.

When I finally woke up 6 weeks later, I was stunned to realise that my muscles hadcompletely wasted away, and I couldn’t even stand, let alone walk. I still had a great gaping hole in either side as well. and a hole in my neck where I had a tracheotomy. I moved to a ward and then spent 3 weeks learning to stand and walk with a frame. Afterv 4 weeks, they allowed me to come home, but it’s going to be a long slow process for me.

The good thing is I have been able to pick up my designing again. I have added a couple of new things to my store, and I have picked out over 30 products that I will be retiring at the end of July! You can get these products at a massive 50 and 60% off from my NDISB store.

I have some other good news too, I have been accepted as a designer at E-scape & Scrap! This was in the process before I took ill and Julie has been very patient and gracious waitimg for me to be well enough to get started. Of course I will be taking things easy for some time yet but it still feels good to be doing something useful again. Here are the new products added this week:

This is an excellent opportunity for the right person. Ideally you will not be on any other CT’s but If you are, you must be able to devote sufficient time to my products also.

I am looking for a minimum of 1 layouts per kit or other product and they must
be posted to at least 3 online galleries. Three of which must be NDISB, DST and my own gallery.

In addition, I require you to mention my products in ISO threads at DST and any other
places you can.  I need you to help me with marketing so I can concentrate on my designing.

I am happy to let my Creative Team be as Creative as they wish, so if you want to make Quick Pages with    my designs or Mini Albums that is fine
and I will be happy to add them to the store with a 20% cut of the sales to you.
Your reward for this will be to receive all of my products free of charge.
If you prove to be the ‘right’ person for the job, after a trial period, the position will attract a
cash payment, made direct to your Paypal account.

I want someone who believes in me and my work and who is willing to help me succeed.

I don’t know where this year has gone! Well, I do, I’ve been tied up with the ADSR until now. Both participating and checking! It’s been loads of fun, and I’ve had the pleasure of checking some awesome layouts and met some super nice people. I even made a few new friends!
